Because I understand that my job here is not to press a button on a machine, it's to open a door for your mindset.
Literally everyone is beautiful. Life is a gorgeous miracle in motion.
We're taught that posing is a static thing, and our bodies appear rigid when we act as if “I,Statue”… when we hold back because we are in denial about our drumming heartbeat, our natural rhythm, the pulse of fluid blood pumping in our veins.
A portrait is a conversation. It breathes.
If you are holding your breath, if you identify as still/frozen, you're going to end up with a lifetime of pictures that make you believe you are not photogenic.
A portrait is for Queens and Kings.
A portrait is power in stillness. Poetic motion.
